Li Chuan was born in Chongqing, China and teaches at the the Department of Graphic Arts, Shichuan Fine Art Institution from where he graduated. Founding member of the Li Chuan Group together with Li Yong and Ren Qian. Participated in the Long March, A Walking Visual Display project with Moving Forward on the Path of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. Other exhibitions have included the Biennale of Contemporary Chinese Art (Montpellier, France), Archaeology of Future: the Second Triennial Chinese Art (Nanjing), The Second Guiyang Biennial Contemporary Exhibition (Guiyang) and Chongqing Pepper, Invited Academic Exhibition (Kassel, Germany).
